I should have asked this a lot sooner, but are you going with anyone to the dance? If not, would you want to go with me? I mean, unless you've got a date who wants to drag you off somewhere alone, we're probably all going to be hanging out for most of the night anyway. And even if I'm a complete klutz, I can actually dance.

I need a volunteer for Saturday. A girl who's willing to sacrifice a few hours to make sure I don't look ridiculous in whatever I find to wear for this ball. Probably not actually a few hours, since I'm going to grab the first thing that fits and someone agrees doesn't look ridiculous. I'll buy you a butterbeer afterward. Or candy. Or something? Please?

Professor Sprout likes to sing in the greenhouses. But it's all old songs that I don't know the words to. And it's sort of bad. Maybe I'll try to find a portable radio next time I go into town.

I'm not sure if you're going to get enough quidditch players out of the eighth years to make up two teams. There's only 40 39 of us. But good luck with that. I'll cheer you on from the stands.

So it's really nice outside today. You'd think that, working with plants, I'd get to take advantage of that. But no, I spend most of my time in the greenhouses. They're great in winter, but on a day like today, it be much nicer to be outside in the breeze.

... Wouldn't it make more sense to repot them outside, though? Even if we have to drag them back inside after? Yeah. I think I'll do that.

Well, the cat seems to have adopted me, and keeping it in the house has kept me out of whatever I'm allergic to. I don't know if I have time for a cat, though. Cats aren't very demanding, are they? Trevor never was; I'm only used to toads. I can't keep calling him the cat, though.

Anyone want a cat? Once's decided to start hanging around my house, and apparently I have an allergy. Odd, there were cats at Hogwarts and I don't remember having one. Can you actually develop allergies? This cat makes my eyes water, at the very least.

The weekly meetings seem to be going well, at the very least.

Next Saturday afternoon, I'm going to begin holding gatherings. A simple question-and-answer session, basically, or a meet-and-greet. I'd like to have a chance to talk with more of the people I'm representing; the Wizengamot tends to be considered unreachable, and I'd at least like the change that.

Since this isn't a Ministry-sponsored event, we'll be hosting it at the Mayfair Conference Centre at 3 p.m.

Oh, look, I made the front page! Not the feature story, but I'm down in the corner. The Prophet's not very complimentary, of course; I especially enjoy the allegations of my insanity. Still, the facts are all true. I guess only time will tell if I'm "indicative of the nation's youth's downward spiral into rebellion." Bit of an awkward phrase, isn't it?

The Ministry is currently discussing publishing laws. The general attitude is that currently, our laws our too lax and leave much room for dangerous materials to make their way into society. Safeguards against such problems will be enacted to ensure it does not happen again.

March means spring, doesn't it? I'm ready for winter to be over. Any time I go to shovel the walk, the neighbors are watching and I have to do it by hand. I swear, it's like they wait around for me to come outside.

That might be because they never see me leave for work, now that I think about it. I should probably work on that.

I really don't like the direction this is all going. Some of the council members are talking about making examples... Isn't that what all of this branding business was about? I don't know what else they can do to set one... I'm a little scared.
